Turkish cybersecurity software is on its way to the global market

After the famous drones, Türkiye is preparing to make a name for itself in the defense industry again, this time through the export of cybersecurity solutions. Technology tools developed by a local company that take a “trustless approach” and offer next-generation security solutions.

The issue of cybersecurity is widely known and is becoming increasingly important around the world. This is demonstrated by the fact that the number of cybersecurity breaches worldwide is estimated to exceed 40 billion by 2021.

The global cybersecurity market has grown rapidly over the past 10 years due to increasing awareness of cybersecurity breaches and next-generation threats. So much so that the global cybersecurity market size is predicted to reach $376.3 billion by 2029 and exhibit an annual growth rate of around 13.4% during this period.

The remarkable partnership signed in Türkiye will allow locally manufactured solutions to capture a larger share of this rapidly growing global market.

The world’s leading IT solutions distributor, Tech Data A TD SYNNEX Türkiye and technology manufacturer DataFlowX, which specializes in next-generation cybersecurity solutions, have announced that they have signed a distribution agreement.

With this agreement, next-generation cybersecurity solutions developed by DataFlowX with a “trustless architecture” approach ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and secure data communication between networks, will be made available to the Turkish market first and then to global customers in the medium term through Tech Data.

Therefore, following in the footsteps of Türkiye’s famous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), cybersecurity solutions will now also be exported more to critical sectors.

    Developed by Turkish engineers

Behçet Yumrukçallı, general manager of Tech Data A TD SYNNEX, Türkiye, emphasized that one of the most prominent approaches in the field of cybersecurity today is the “trustless architecture approach”.

“In general, a network is considered secure unless security systems detect a breach, but the zero-trust architecture approach assumes that a network is not always immediately secure. even when no violations are detected. It recognizes that every transaction, data and identity is not trusted. We found it very valuable that DataFlowX produced products that fit this approach, which quickly adopted worldwide, with domestic vehicles,” said Yumrukçallı.

He said one of their goals is to support the growth and globalization of local businesses operating in the cybersecurity sector.

“As Tech Data A TD SYNNEX Company, our goal is for more than 600 business partners to benefit from our power and achieve maximum value in the data economy. At this point, we aim to first position DataFlowX’s domestic products in various sectors in our country, and then expand their use abroad,” added Yumrukçallı.

    Zero Trust Architecture

For his part, DataFlowX General Manager Burak Çifter said that the digital world, which continues to evolve rapidly, brings convenience in all areas of daily life but also presents significant risks.

“Technology is at the heart of all services for organizations to securely collect, process and store data from digital media, to transmit them quickly to relevant entities and make sure that this flow does not stop. Today, however, the need for integration between systems makes it impossible for sensitive and critical networks to completely shut down. This requires next-generation solutions for sensitive networks to perform data exchange without compromising the “Zero Trust Architecture,” Çifter said.

In keeping with this need of organizations operating in the energy, finance, manufacturing, and defense sectors, Çifter notes that DataFlowX provides physical and hardware-based isolation of the sensitive and mission-critical networks with its “Line of Security Gateway Solutions,” which includes DataDiodeX, the first and only new generation data diode in the local market, and DataBrokerX, an internet security gateway.

“While doing this, we also ensure that data can be exchanged securely without compromising this security measure. We are delighted to partner with Tech Data, the leading global distributor and solution aggregator of the IT ecosystem, so that our business partners can easily, efficiently and securely benefit from all the solutions we offer and strengthen their security portfolio with cyber defense solutions,” says Çifter.
