Windows 11 users are set for a new search function added with the latest updates.
The “Featured Search” feature promises to “present remarkable and exciting moments about the specials of every day – such as holidays, anniversaries, and other educational moments in time. both globally and in your region” through clicking or tapping the taskbar.
This feature could be good news for business laptop and business computer users who might need a little extra help avoiding forgetting an important coworker’s birthday.
Search on Windows 11
The feature is set to roll out through a “phased and measured” approach over the next few weeks and months for Windows 11 users.
This feature was rolled out to Windows 10 users in March 2022 and is available in Windows 11 version 22H2, you can try it out if you’re lucky enough to be a Windows Insider.
The new feature will also allow users to discover additional content inside the search homepage, including “word of the day,” Microsoft Rewards offers, and trending searches.
The left side of the search homepage will also display an extensive list of your recently launched apps, files, settings, and websites to help users get back to what they were doing before.
If you’re not a big fan of the feature, that’s okay – users can remove the feature by going to “Privacy & Security”, then going to “More Settings” , then uncheck “Show search highlights”.
