Dr. Hassan Khan, professor of computer science in the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering, will appear in an episode of CBC Market.
Khan will appear in a report examining the security risks of taking a mobile phone or other electronic device in for repair.
Khan, who studies computer security and human-computer interaction, recently led a study that found that customers who send electronic devices in for repair are at high risk of privacy violations. . The study is the first comprehensive look at customer privacy in the North American electronics repair industry, and the findings were presented at the 44th IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy private in San Francisco.
