To meet the current needs of broadcasters, the CR-N700 features a 1.0-inch Type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7 processor to deliver 4K CZK UHD 60P 4:2:2 10-bit picture for truly immersive content. Capable of high-quality transmissions, Canon’s latest PTZ cameras allow content creators to live stream 4K CZK 60P over IP with PoE++ support enables power, streaming and camera control over one cable – perfect for live and remote productions. Perfect image quality is also a result of the high-performance lens, featuring 15x optical zoom and 30x enhanced zoom when recording in Full HD. When combined with Canon’s renowned Image Stabilizer, broadcasters can record smooth, steady footage even from a distance. This can be ideal for shooting reality TV shows or even sports when the camera operator wants to discreetly zoom in on the action. The CR-N700 also features a Night Mode, which allows operators to shoot scenes in near-darkness thanks to a removable built-in IR cut filter. Together with HDR formats in PQ or HLG, broadcasters can record virtually unrestricted footage in varying lighting environments.
A new breakthrough for Canon’s PTZ line of cameras, the CR-N700 is equipped with fast, intelligent and extremely accurate focusing thanks to Canon’s exclusive Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology with advanced EOS iTR AF X. This deep learning autofocus locks onto subjects to track them as they move and even when they face away. Eye-detection AF locks onto the subject’s pupil for even greater accuracy, while face-priority AF allows the operator to prioritize a specific individual. This can be ideal for situations where a transparent anchor is required.
Great connectivity, simple workflow
As with Canon’s entire line of PTZ cameras, the CR-N700 supports multiple protocols for seamless integration with existing workflows. Designed to fit the diverse production ecosystem of broadcasters, the CR-N700 features SRT and NDI | HXii High quality protocol 4K CZK video streams, while FreeD allows integration with virtual productions. Broadcasters can easily create multi-camera setups that meet their needs with these protocols, and with Canon’s XC protocol, the CR-N700 can be integrated with other Canon Cinema EOS cameras. such as the EOS C500 Mark II, EOS C300 Mark III, or professional camcorders including the XF605iii for a really flexible setup. It can even match the look and feel of other Canon cameras with Canon Log 3 and Wide Dynamic Range picture settings.
Flexible connectivity options include 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI, HDMI or IP, enabling seamless 4K60P transmission, for consistent, high-quality broadcasts. The CR-N700 also includes dual professional XLR audio inputs, Time Code and GEN-LOCK, for various production needs.
Advanced control
Canon’s latest PTZ camera offers the same intuitive control as other models in the series. The advanced drive mechanism enables movements as slow and precise as 0.1° per second, meaning the operator can capture cinematic shots. Compatible with both Canon’s RC-IP100 controller and Camera Remote App, as well as select third-party controllers, which further simplifies integration with setups existing production. With the CR-N700’s cropping function, broadcasters can get two separate feeds from a single PTZ camera. They can select up to two areas of interest in 4K CZK frame them and export them as separate feeds in HD. This feature is perfect for products with limited PTZ cameras in place.
